The reasons for the shallowing of the Eshkakon reservoir in Stavropol are named
In the Stavropol Territory, a drop in the water level in the Eshkakon reservoir was recorded. One of the reasons is the difficult climatic conditions.
In addition, negative hydrological changes and a slight inflow of water into the reservoir lead to shallowing. This is reported by the StavropolMedia news agency with reference to the specialists of the State Unitary Enterprise IC "Stavropolkrayvodokanal".
Due to the non-replenishment of reserves, the stable operation of the Eshkakon hydroelectric complex has become a threat. This was the reason for the introduction of water supply restrictions in Kislovodsk. So far, water supply is available only in the morning from 5:00 to 10:00 and in the evening from 17:00 to 22:00. The regime will last until the situation stabilizes, the vodokanal clarified.
The company delivers water to residential buildings, sanatoriums, boarding houses and social facilities. Residents are advised to create small water reserves for urgent needs and are asked to use water efficiently during permitted hours.
Earlier, on March 24, it was reported that dry vegetation began to be burned on the outskirts of Stavropol. The procedure is carried out annually in preparation for the fire season. Specialists will have to get rid of 400 hectares of dead wood. The trial will last until the first days of April.
