A fire that occurred in one of the buildings of the NSTU in Novosibirsk has been eliminated

A fire recorded in one of the academic buildings of Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU) has been extinguished. This was announced on March 25 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region.

"The fire has been eliminated. Due to smoke in the adjacent buildings of the campus, classes have been canceled for today," they said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On the department's channel in the MAX messenger, it is emphasized that the open gorenje was eliminated in 35 minutes from the moment of arrival of fire crews at the scene. In total, 300 people left the building on their own, and three more were evacuated by representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. 59 specialists and 19 pieces of equipment took part in the fight against the flames.

Now the investigators, who are also involved at the scene of the incident, are establishing the causes of the fire.

It became known about the fire in one of the NTSU academic buildings on the morning of the same day. It was noted that it could have occurred due to a paper fire recorded on the second floor of the building. Firefighters localized the fire in 15 minutes.
