The Investigative Committee supplemented the case of the explosion in Sevastopol with an article on the illegal acquisition of military equipment.

The investigation does not consider a domestic gas leak to be the cause of the explosion in an apartment building in Sevastopol, and another article has been filed on this fact — "On the illegal acquisition and storage of an unidentified explosive device" (art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This was reported in the department on the evening of March 24.

"The investigation of the criminal case into the collapse of an apartment building in Sevastopol continues on the grounds of a crime under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"), Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation," the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
