- In Moscow, the number of budget places in colleges will be increased by 10 thousand.
The number of budget places in Moscow colleges will increase by 10,000 this year, to 47,000. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his messenger in the MAX.
"Three months before the start of the admission campaign, the number of people wishing to enroll in colleges on the basis of two OGE exams has already increased by 5,000 people compared to last year," Sobyanin wrote. He told about this during the college Forum, a career guidance event for schoolchildren and their parents, which takes place in Moscow from March 21 to 24.
Sobyanin attended the forum together with Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and representatives of parliamentary factions. He thanked the speaker and the "great team of the State Duma", which pays great attention to the development of secondary vocational education.
According to the mayor, the SPO of Moscow is "experiencing a rebirth." "On behalf of the president, we are developing this area," stressed the head of the capital. He called Moscow's colleges "first-class educational institutions with modern workshops, practice-oriented programs and close ties with employers."
About 70 educational institutions are represented at the forum. Workshops were held daily at the site, and ten pavilions were open, covering various industries from industry and information technology to the creative industries. The business program of the forum was full of thematic meetings, lectures and presentations by experts from various industries, Sobyanin said.
