- The ex-director of procurement of the Kalashnikov concern has pleaded not guilty to embezzlement
The former director of procurement and logistics of the Kalashnikov concern, Ksenia Grashenkova, pleaded not guilty in the case of abuse of authority in the execution of the state defense order. This was reported to Izvestia on March 24 by an informed source.
A correspondent for Izvestia, broadcasting from the courtroom, reported that the court had recognized the extension of Grashchenkova's arrest as lawful and refused to release her from jail, as requested by the defense, asking to consider placing the defendant under house arrest. The sanction of the article imputed to the ex-director provides for a penalty of five to ten years in prison.
"The decision of the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow should remain unchanged, the complaint should be dismissed," the judge announced the decision.
Grashchenkova was arrested on February 14 last year. At the same time, a criminal case was opened against her under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 201.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Abuse of authority in the execution of a state defense order"). Some time later, on February 19, 2026, law enforcement officials announced that Kalashnikov had suffered damage in excess of 35 million rubles from fraudulent schemes carried out by its employees.
