In Crimea, the first locally produced cucumbers began to appear on the shelves of local markets. This is reported by the press service of the regional Department of Agriculture.

Fresh vegetables are supplied by one of the leading greenhouse plants in Sevastopol. The company employs about 50 people. Each greenhouse is serviced by a rotating team of eight specialists.

Cucumber harvesting began after March 8th. At the moment, more than 20 tons of product have been harvested from an area of 3 hectares. The farm plans to harvest more than 650 tons of green vegetables by the end of 2026.

As noted by IA SevastopolMedia, since 2020, the plant has received support in the form of subsidies. These funds reimbursed part of the costs of heat, electricity and gas needed for growing vegetables indoors. In 2025, payments exceeded 7 million rubles.
