Tuberculosis-related deaths in Russia have tripled in 11 years. This was announced on March 24 by Andrey Plutnitsky, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, at a press conference "Tuberculosis Today: National Achievements and Global Challenges", dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day, at the Izvestia Press Center.

According to him, the Russian Federation occupies a leading position in terms of the rate of decline.
