Rostec has developed an anti drone to protect cars from UAVs
Rostec State Corporation's Rosel Holding has created the PRES-VM anti-UAV device to protect civilian vehicles in hazardous areas. This was announced on March 24 in the press service of the state corporation.
"Threats to civilian vehicles are evolving rapidly. Specialists from Rostec State Corporation enterprises are promptly developing counteraction measures, and our equipment is one of such timely solutions. The protection of transport moving through dangerous areas is the most important task that is being solved with the help of PRES—VM," the message on the state corporation's website says.
The device combines a passive detection system and radio suppression, it is installed on the roof of the car and controlled from mobile devices.
Vyacheslav Lyashuk, Director of Business Development at the Vector Research Institute, noted that the development has already been tested, including in the combat zone. According to him, the company's production facilities allow for flexible execution of orders for both small and large batches of the latest equipment.
