Namin's stepson, accused of double murder, fell to his knees in the courtroom
Roman Tkachenko, the stepson of rock musician Stas Namin (real name - Anastas Mikoyan), accused of murdering his stepbrother and grandmother, fell to his knees in the courtroom and burst into tears, speaking with the last word. This was reported on March 23 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
"I've never had any motive for murder. This is a huge tragedy. I can't believe I was there. Especially in relation to Artyom, it's like killing your son," Tkachenko said, asking the family for forgiveness.
The lawyer asked that Tkachenko's charge be reclassified in accordance with Part 2 of Article 107 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of two or more persons committed in a state of passion"), but the results of the examinations showed that the accused did not suffer from mental disorders at the time of the crime.
The bodies of Namin's mother-in-law and his 30-year-old son Artyom with multiple stab wounds were found in their house in the village of Kryukovo near Moscow on the night of October 19, 2023. As the source of Izvestia noted, Tkachenko quarreled with relatives over the sale of the house and killed his grandmother during the quarrel. After that, he called his brother and told him about the incident, and when he arrived at the scene, Roman dealt with him. Tkachenko pleaded guilty in court on March 18.
The defendant's defense emphasized that he may suffer from a split personality and asked for a second examination, which was refused. The prosecutor's office has requested 20 years in a high-security penal colony for Namin's stepson. According to her representatives, Tkachenko's true motive was selfishness.
