St. Petersburg actor Alexander Khomik, known for his roles in the TV series "Streets of Broken Lanterns" and "Secrets of the Investigation," died at the age of 51. This was announced on March 23 by Alexei Dmitruk, an artist of the Mariinsky Theater Choir.

"My dearest friend, theater and film actor and wonderful man, Alexander Khomik, passed away today. The loss is irreparable. We've been together for 28 years. We performed on stage, were friends, went mushroom picking and fishing, helped each other in everything," Dmitruk wrote on his VKontakte page.

Khomik worked at the St. Petersburg Art Theater, the St. Petersburg Children's Musical Theater "Through the Looking Glass", and the studio theater under the direction of Svetlana Kryuchkova.
