A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The military personnel of the Zapad group of forces have improved their tactical situation. Ukrainian units in the settlements of the Kharkiv region and the DPR were also defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 180 soldiers, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, 20 vehicles and an artillery piece. An electronic warfare station and four ammunition depots were destroyed.

The southern group of troops took more advantageous positions and frontiers, and also hit the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 180 militants, 10 vehicles, a field artillery piece and an electronic warfare station. An ammunition depot and three material depots were destroyed.

The "Center" group of troops has improved its position along the front line. The enemy was defeated in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to over 375 people, three armored combat vehicles, 14 vehicles and an electronic warfare station.

The units of the Vostok group of forces advanced into the depth of the enemy's defenses and defeated the Ukrainian formations in the settlements of the Zaporizhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 260 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and two field artillery guns.

The military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces improved their tactical situation. The manpower and equipment of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were defeated in a number of settlements of the Zaporizhia region. More than 35 militants, five vehicles, four electronic warfare stations, an artillery piece and four ammunition and materiel depots were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the facilities of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine, port and transport infrastructure used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assembly and launch sites of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 147 districts.

Eight guided aerial bombs and 526 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 126663 unmanned aerial vehicles, 652 anti-aircraft missile systems, 28430 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1691 multiple rocket launchers, 34020 field artillery guns and mortars, 57546 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
