Scammers have started creating fake hotel websites to deceive Russians.

The most common method of deception in the field of vacation booking is the creation of fake hotel websites — it accounts for 90% of fraudulent schemes. Aleksan Mkrtchyan, Vice President of the Alliance of Travel Agencies Association and General Director of the Pink Elephant tour operator, told about this on March 23.

"Basically, fraudulent schemes are fake hotel websites. This is about 90% of fraudulent schemes," he told RIA Novosti.
