With the onset of the warm season, many people install trampolines on their plots, but such entertainment often ends with injuries. This was announced on March 22 by Alexander Grigoriev, an assistant at the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Military Field Surgery at Pirogov University.

"A significantly higher number and more severe injuries are recorded when using home trampolines, especially large models that allow high jumps. As a result, fractures of the upper and lower extremities occur, including supracondylar hip fractures, as well as head injuries of varying severity," the doctor explained in an interview with the newspaper.Ru».

The main reasons for the increased risk of injury to domestic trampolines are the lack of adult control, the unequipped area around the trampoline, and children falling out of it.

According to the doctor, the injury rate in trampoline centers is significantly lower with strict compliance with safety regulations and qualified supervision. Injuries in such institutions are most often associated with safety violations, for example, when several people are on the same trampoline at the same time.

On January 27, rheumatologist Elena Yanovskaya assessed the danger of the habit of cracking joints. According to her, a reason for caution should appear if the crunch becomes permanent, accompanied by pain, swelling, stiffness or limited mobility. The specialist stressed that such symptoms may indicate osteoarthritis, arthritis, tendonitis, or the effects of injury.
