The Iranian army announced the interception of an F-15 fighter jet over the southern coast of the country.

The Iranian air defense forces intercepted an F-15 fighter jet in the sky over the southern coast of the country. On March 22, the IRIB State Television and radio company reported this, citing a statement from the joint Air Defense headquarters.

"The enemy's F-15 intruder aircraft in the sky over the southern coast of the country near Hormuz Island was tracked and hit," the Telegram channel said.

The Iranian ministry noted that since the start of hostilities on February 28, the air defense forces have destroyed about 200 enemy aircraft, including drones, cruise missiles, refueling aircraft and fighter jets.
