An Aeroflot Airbus A321 passenger plane en route from Moscow to Baku made an emergency landing at Sheremetyevo Airport. This was announced on March 22 by a source of Izvestia.

According to the flight tracking service Flightradar24, the flight from Moscow was scheduled for 08:10 Moscow time, the actual departure time is 08:15. The expected arrival time in Baku was 12:45 p.m., but the plane was forced to return to the departure airport.

Later it became known that the aircraft landed safely in Sheremetyevo. According to preliminary data, the cause of the emergency landing was a malfunction of one of the engines. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.

The plane with 88 passengers, which was preparing for an emergency landing in Pulkovo, landed safely on March 16. According to preliminary data, the flight was supposed to take off for Murmansk, but the Superjet aircraft did not release the landing gear.
