Men's reproductive health was proposed to be checked before the age of 60
The age limits of reproductive medical examination for men can be expanded from the current 49 to 60 years. This initiative was made on March 22 by Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on demography, protection of family, children and traditional family values.
"It seems to me that the age range of the examination of men could be expanded. Men over the age of 50 can also become fathers, so you can limit yourself to the age of 60," TASS quoted him as saying.
Currently, according to the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health, reproductive medical examination for men is carried out at their request from 18 to 49 years of age.
Rybalchenko also proposed to introduce the practice of consultations with psychologists as part of a free examination.
"Taking into account their life circumstances, specialists could provide them with the necessary assistance, which is important for their reproductive mood," he stressed.
On March 21, Russia proposed to legislate the concept of men's reproductive health and set it as the age from 18 to 55 years inclusive. Such a project was developed and sent to the government for the conclusion of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Fatherhood, Motherhood and Childhood, Tatyana Butskaya, United Russia party.
