Scammers have implemented a new scheme to deceive users of online games, convincing them to "authenticate" on behalf of the service administrators. The relevant information follows from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The attackers write to the players on Telegram, introduce themselves as administrators and claim that it is necessary to verify their identity. To do this, they send a link and ask you to contact them by phone or video.

"Without expecting a trick, the potential victim contacts the interlocutor, who asks to turn on the screen and then log into various applications, including banking. At the same time, SMS notifications are sent to the person, which are the key to debiting money," the Interior Ministry said in the materials cited by TASS.

The agency urges to be careful when communicating with strangers and in no case show bank applications and login details.

On March 18, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation reported on a new scheme to deceive Russians related to the delivery of equipment. It was noted that the attackers convince the victims that an order from an electronics store was allegedly placed in their name, and then lure out confidential data. At the same time, if the victim tries to find out what exactly was ordered, through which website and when the payment was made, the scammers ignore these questions and turn the conversation to another topic.
