Rosreestr has listed the most popular street names in Russia
There are tens of thousands of streets with the same name in Russia, most often among them there are streets whose names are associated with the history of the Soviet Union (USSR). This was reported on March 21 in the press service of the Federal Register.
"There are tens of thousands of streets with the same name in Russia. Based on our State Catalog of Geographical Names, the improvised hit parade of the most common streets looks like this: Oktyabrskaya (and variations like "X anniversary of October"), Lenin, Sovetskaya," the agency told RIA Novosti.
The rating of the 10 most common names also includes Gagarin, Pobedy, Kirov, Mira, Pushkin, Sadovaya and Zarechnaya streets.
The press service of Roskadaster reported last year that 67 cities with matching names were registered in Russia. In particular, there are three cities in Russia called Krasnoarmeysk: in the Donetsk People's Republic, Moscow and Saratov regions. The names Alexandrovsk (in the Luhansk People's Republic, Perm Krai, and Murmansk Oblast), Primorsk (in the Kaliningrad, Leningrad, and Zaporizhia oblasts), and Sovetsk (in the Tula, Kaliningrad, and Kirov oblasts) also occur three times.
