On March 21, Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, proposed introducing permanent indexation of insurance pensions annually from January 1.
"Starting from January 1, it should be left. And the model was well applied last year, when January 1 was indexed, the inflation rate actually turned out to be higher than forecast, and on February 1 it was indexed," Nilov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, today insurance pensions are indexed on February 1 and April 1, depending on inflation and the capabilities of the Social Fund budget, respectively.
