In three years, about 1,000 rural post offices will be repaired in the Russian Federation.

The Russian authorities intend to repair more than 900 Russian Post facilities in villages and hard-to-reach places within three years. This became known on March 21.

"On behalf of the president, the government continues to work on the modernization of post offices located in villages and hard—to-reach areas," the text of the document, published on the website of the Government of the Russian Federation, says.

The article emphasizes that more than 150 branches of the Russian Post should be modernized by the end of the year. In 2026, budget investments in the amount of 5 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes.

The Ministry of Finance explained the tariff adjustment of the Russian Post on February 13. According to the agency, the measure is economically justified and is aimed at long-term stabilization of the work of the postal operator.
