NBC reported on the options for deploying US troops in Iran

US President Donald Trump has several options for deploying American troops in Iran, which should serve as one of the important stages in ending the conflict. This was reported on March 20 by NBC News, citing sources.

"Several options are being discussed. One of them is aimed at ensuring unhindered passage through the Strait of Hormuz by deploying troops in Iranian ports or on small islands in the Persian Gulf to reduce the threat to ships," the publication says.

The US authorities are also considering an operation to remove highly enriched uranium from Iran or the use of troops to seize Iranian oil facilities. With this, according to the TV channel, the United States will be able to put pressure on Iran.

NBC News added that none of these options involve a large-scale deployment of troops.
