ROSSETI will invest more than 32 billion rubles in energy projects in the Leningrad Region in 2026

This year, the total planned investments of the ROSSETI Group in the Leningrad Region exceed 32 billion rubles. This was stated by the head of the company Andrey Ryumin at a meeting with the governor Alexander Drozdenko. According to Ryumin, a significant part of this amount is projects related to technological connection. "We plan to connect more than 17 thousand consumers to the network," he said.

At the meeting, they discussed the development of infrastructure, electricity supply to residents and priority projects. Special emphasis is placed on reliability.

As the head of Rosseti emphasized, the largest tasks are related to the construction of the Moscow—St. Petersburg high-speed railway.‑St. Petersburg. "We are working on removing the power transmission line from the construction area and preparing the network for increased loads," he explained. The company also plans to rebuild the backbone networks to free up the site for the construction of new power units of the Leningrad NPP, and to reconstruct distribution facilities in coastal areas and in the south—west of the region.

Ryumin noted that ROSSETI has recently implemented several large-scale projects in the region. The 330 kV substation in the Kingisepp district has been reconstructed. This increased the reliability of electricity supply to consumers and provided additional capacity to the port area in Ust-Luga.

Drozdenko added that by the 2026-2027 heating season, issues of increasing the first range of electricity consumption in the Leningrad region to 3,000 kW will be worked out. "All the benefits of cost compensation for the second range will be preserved," the governor stressed.

Reliability was also discussed at the meeting. Due to the timely implementation of repair programs and systematic work on infrastructure modernization, the number of technological disruptions is reduced. So, during the New Year holidays, not a single major overload-related malfunction was recorded at the region's power facilities. In 2026, ROSSETI will additionally increase the financing of the repair campaign to more than 4.3 billion rubles.
