A bill has been submitted to the State Duma that provides the Russian Ministry of Defense with access to registry office data to optimize the provision of social support to military personnel and their families. The draft was submitted for consideration on March 20, and the relevant document was published on the official website of the State Duma.

According to the statement, the Ministry of Defense will be able to request data on retired military personnel, civilian personnel, as well as their family members.

According to the authors, such a measure will simplify the process of providing social benefits and will help to keep military records.

On March 19, the Russian government submitted to the State Duma a bill providing for the possibility of involving the armed forces to protect Russian citizens who have been arrested or prosecuted by foreign courts. The bill provides for amendments that, in particular, allow the possibility of using the Russian military outside the country.
