An Iranian journalist showed the consequences of the attacks on Tehran
On March 19, an Iranian journalist demonstrated to Izvestia the situation in one of the densely populated areas of Tehran after the American-Israeli shelling.
"They killed our leader and want to kill all of us," the resident said.
The published footage shows that some of the buildings were seriously damaged: walls collapsed, windows were broken in many houses. Significant damage was recorded in one of the apartments where two families lived, while traces of recent daily life remained inside. There was food left in the kitchen, and groceries in the fridge.
The Iranian citizen also noted that despite the ongoing strikes, the country's residents continue to live and recover from the devastation.
On March 18, the Israeli Air Force attacked the largest gas processing plant in the south of the state in the province of Bushehr during strikes on Iran. According to the Times of Israel, the attacks are explained by Tehran's alleged intention to attack energy facilities throughout the Persian Gulf.
At the same time, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced on March 17 that an enemy shell had hit the territory of the Bushehr NPP. It was clarified that the station was also not damaged. The organization called the attack a violation of international rights.
In turn, on March 18, US President Donald Trump called on the allies to help open the Strait of Hormuz. He also accompanied the publication with a link to an article in the New York Post, which reported that the "allies" of the United States were not allies at all when they refused to help unblock the strait.
