Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan said that in 2025, 2,000 real estate and other property worth 1.6 trillion rubles were seized from corrupt officials. He announced this on March 19 at a meeting of the board of the department.

"During the year, 2 thousand real estate objects and new property with a total value of 1.6 trillion rubles were transferred to the treasury. Vladimir Vladimirovich, we plan to step up our efforts so that unscrupulous bribe-takers fully realize the senselessness of illicit enrichment. Now the society reacts especially sharply to embezzlement and venality of a part of the bureaucratic apparatus," Gutsan said.

According to him, the register of persons convicted of corruption crimes and other dangerous acts has been established on behalf of the Ministry. The task of prosecutors is to ensure continuous monitoring of the legality of decisions of courts and bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service.

On January 12, Gutsan announced plans to improve the fight against corruption. He also noted that the role of the prosecutor's office has increased significantly in the context of global changes in the world order, unprecedented challenges and the complication of public relations.
