- Sobyanin spoke about plans to connect the Shelepikhinsky highway and the North-Western Chord.
The Moscow authorities plan to improve the transport connectivity of the Western and Northwestern districts of the capital by connecting the Northwestern Chord and Shelepikhin Highway into a single route. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told about this in his channel in the MACH messenger.
As part of the project, 17 km of streets with two lanes in each direction will be laid and reconstructed. Reconstruction will also be carried out on a number of sections of Novozavodskaya Street and Beregovoy Passage. All work according to the schedule will be completed this year. As explained by the mayor of the capital, as a result of the project, Muscovites will be able to reduce travel time between the districts of Khoroshevo-Mnevniki and Filevsky Park, and will also have more convenient access to social facilities.
After completion of the work, the metropolitan authorities are also going to adjust the route network of ground transport for non-stop communication between the territory of the Khrunichev State Scientific and Scientific Center and Filevsky Park district with the Mnevniki metro stations of the Bolshaya Koltsevaya Line, Shelepikha MCC and the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya line under construction, as well as MCD-4 Moscow City.
