If the United States starts withdrawing troops from the Strait of Hormuz, the price of oil will rise to $200 per barrel. This was announced on March 18 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"That would mean $200 per barrel for a while," Dmitriev wrote on the social network X.

This is how he reacted to a message about the intention of US President Donald Trump to consider the idea of withdrawing troops from the strait.
