Zapadny Square to be put in order in Krasnoyarsk

In Krasnoyarsk, the Zapadny Park, located in the Kirovsky district, will be put in order. Work will begin in the second quarter of 2026, according to the press service of the Mayor's office.

The design project of the park provides for the preservation of all monuments. At the same time, the area for regional holidays will be expanded by transferring military equipment to a separate zone.

The space itself will be divided into three zones. Outdoor furniture, swings, lighting will be installed on the territory, new trees will be planted and a barrier-free space for low-mobility citizens will be equipped.

120 thousand residents of the district voted for the transformation of public space within the framework of the federal program "Formation of a comfortable urban environment". According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, the Megapolis company will be engaged in landscaping.

Earlier it was reported that the building of the fire department built in 1904, which is an object of cultural heritage, will be restored in Krasnoyarsk. The object is located on Lenin Street, 59.
