The date of the beginning of the fire season has been determined in Transbaikalia

In Transbaikalia, a special fire protection regime will be in effect on the territory of several districts from March 20. This date was approved by the regional government.

According to the press service of the regional Ministry of Environment, the regime will be introduced in the Olovyanninsky, Borzinsky, Akshinsky, Onosky, Kirinsky, Priargunsky and Zabaikalsky districts.

The department added that the fire protection regime will be established in stages, dividing the territory of the region into southern, central and northern regions.

A project has also been prepared to establish restrictions on staying in forests, writes ChitaMedia news agency. Thus, administrative and criminal liability is provided for violations of fire safety requirements — up to 10 years in prison.

Earlier it was reported that 57 video cameras included in the Lesohranitor system will be purchased in Transbaikalia. The devices will allow for round-the-clock monitoring of possible fires in the west, northeast and south of the region.
