A man was detained for preparing a terrorist attack in the DPR
The man planned to prepare a terrorist act in the Donetsk People's Republic. He has already been detained by the security services. This was announced on March 18 by the head of the region Denis Pushilin.
"[The Security services] detained him, he was unable to commit a terrorist act. I was preparing, almost everything was ready," he said on the air of the Solovyov Live TV channel.
According to Pushilin, the suspect was in the final stages of implementing his plan. At the moment, it is known that the detainee is about 50 years old. Detailed information about his identity and the purpose of the planned attack will appear later.
On the same day, the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Petrenko, told about the detention of a teenager who planned a terrorist attack in a temple on the instructions of the curators. According to investigators, he turned out to be a supporter of a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation and was recruited through a messenger by a Ukrainian curator. On the instructions of the recruiter, the minor conducted propaganda conversations with his acquaintances, convincing them to join a banned organization.
