The European Union (EU) will have to recognize Ukraine's territorial concessions in favor of Russia in practice. This was announced on March 17 by Finnish President Alexander Stubb.
"Europe will never recognize that Ukraine's possible territorial concessions are legally or in principle (de jure) part of Russia. In practice (de facto) everything may be different," the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti quotes Stubb as saying.
