The US Armed Forces have hit Iranian missile sites near the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on March 17 by the Central Command of the American troops.

"A few hours ago, American troops successfully used several 5,000-pound deep—penetration munitions against fortified Iranian missile sites along the Iranian coast near the Strait of Hormuz," the ministry said in a statement on the social network X.

It is noted that Iran's missile facilities allegedly posed a threat to international shipping.
