US President Donald Trump is extremely angry at the unwillingness of European allies to participate in ensuring navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on March 17 by U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring).

"I talked with the US president about the unwillingness of our European allies to provide resources to maintain the functioning of the Strait of Hormuz...> I've never heard such anger from him in my life," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Graham also criticized the European approach to Iran's nuclear program, calling it a failure, and said that refusing real help makes us think about the value of allied relations.

"I consider myself a very progressive advocate of supporting alliances, but at a time like this, when this is a really serious test, I'm starting to doubt the value of these alliances," the senator concluded.

On March 15, Trump appealed to countries dependent on oil supplied through the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by Iran, to ensure the safety of this transport route. He then threatened NATO with a "bad future" if it refused to help unblock the water area.

Later, on March 17, the Axios portal learned about the reluctance of the US allies to join the coalition on the Strait of Hormuz. Trump himself called the blocking of the Strait of Hormuz unfair, because the United States "has already won." The day before, he also announced the imminent completion of the operation against Iran, assuring that "we will not have to wait long."
