- Aksyonov noted the growing interest in developing cooperation with Crimea in the world.
International cooperation with the Republic of Crimea is growing and developing, despite the sanctions policy and the blockade. This was announced on March 17 by the head of the region Sergey Aksyonov in an address to the participants of the Moscow – Simferopol video bridge on the theme: "Crimea and Russia are together forever!".
"Despite the sanctions, blockades and bans, there is a growing interest in developing cooperation with Crimea in the world. Our hospitable peninsula is regularly visited by foreign guests. I am confident that international relations will strengthen and expand," he said in a video message.
The politician congratulated the citizens on the memorable date, noting that 12 years ago the dream of several generations of Crimeans came true. Aksyonov added that the reunification of the region with Russia not only transformed the peninsula itself, but also launched the process of global change in the geopolitical landscape, becoming the beginning of the transition to a multipolar world order.
"Thanks to the dedication of Crimeans, the support of the President and the government of Russia, our republic has achieved impressive results. Positive changes in all spheres are visible to everyone who is not blinded by hatred and has not lost the ability to recognize reality," the head of the republic emphasized.
On the same day, the Kremlin's press service reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin would hold a meeting with members of the government on March 18 on the development of Crimea and Sevastopol. During the meeting, the head of state will take part in the opening of a number of facilities on the peninsula via videoconference.
