On March 17, Russian skier Savely Korostelev spoke about a provocation from a rival from the Baltic States during an interview at the Olympic Games (OI) 2026 in Italy.

"I gave an interview to an Estonian channel once during the Olympics, and in Russian. The correspondent himself said that there are no problems in Russian. And one athlete from the Baltic country came by and offered to ask me about the fighting," Korostelev said in an interview with the portalSports.ru ".

He added that no one in the studio paid any attention to this provocation. At the same time, there were no other skirmishes, and this incident, according to him, was the only "negative moment."
