Named regions of Russia with the best taxi drivers in terms of traffic regulations

Novosibirsk region is recognized as the best in the ranking of regions in terms of knowledge of traffic rules by taxi drivers. Izvestia was informed about this on March 18 by the Public Council for Taxi Development.

The results of the analysis of knowledge of traffic rules among taxi drivers were summed up by the organizers of the All-Russian professional skills competition "The best taxi driver in Russia". The rating was created based on the research results. Novosibirsk region took the first place with an average score of 18.89. Next are St. Petersburg and Leningrad region (18.37), Tyumen Region (18.2), Tambov Region (18.15) and Sevastopol (17.75).

The study is based on an analysis of the theoretical exams of taxi drivers who participated in the "Best Taxi Driver in Russia" competition in 2018. The scores of all participants in the regional stages of the competition for each subject of the Russian Federation were taken into account, after which the average result of the region was calculated. In total, 48 regions of Russia participated in the analysis, and the total data set amounted to 1992 exam results. The maximum number of points is 20.

The drivers passed a theoretical exam consisting of 20 questions on knowledge of traffic regulations, and a practical exam where they demonstrated taxi driving skills. The judges assessed the safety of driving, the accuracy of maneuvers and the smoothness of driving.

"Such an analysis allows us not only to identify strong regions, but also to understand where it is necessary to strengthen the professional training of drivers," said Irina Zaripova, Chairman of the Public Council for Taxi Development.

Earlier, on March 4, the Ministry of Industry and Trade published a list of domestically produced cars that fall under the approved parameters of the law on taxi localization. The ministry recalled that this list suggests the possibility of regular updates, taking into account models that will be produced in Russia under the SPIC with commitments to deepen localization.
