The program of the 16th Russian Internet Governance Forum has been published
A preliminary program has been published on the website of the 16th Russian Internet Governance Forum (RIGF 2026), which will be held on April 7-8 in the Consent Hall space.
In a forum organized by the .RU/ Domain Coordination Center.The Russian Federation and the Center for Global IT Cooperation will be attended by leading Internet experts, representatives of government authorities, businesses and public organizations on Internet regulation.
The RIGF 2026 program includes nine sections where participants and speakers will discuss key areas of development of the digital environment, from the global dialogue on Internet governance to the challenges of digital transformation.
The forum focuses on issues of preserving cultural and linguistic diversity in the global network, the development of digital healthcare, new approaches to ensuring the safety of children in the online environment, as well as issues of digital sovereignty and the development of sovereign cloud infrastructures.
A special place in the program is occupied by a foresight session dedicated to artificial intelligence as a factor of structural changes in management, economy and society. Experts will discuss how AI is already transforming decision-making processes, content production, and digital services, as well as what areas will be developed in 2027-2035: the proliferation of autonomous agents, the formation of AI ecosystems, and the expansion of machine decision-making.
Separate discussions at RIGF 2026 will focus on international approaches to regulating generative AI, the introduction of AI solutions into medical services, new digital risks for children, as well as how artificial intelligence and automation are changing user interaction with services and transforming online promotion tools.
Among the key speakers of the forum: Tatiana Matveeva (Office of the President of Russia for the Development of Information and Communication Technologies and Infrastructure and Communications), Alexander Shoitov (Ministry of Finance), Anton Gorelkin (State Duma of the Russian Federation), Oksana Sotnikova (Ministry of Economic Development of Russia), Timur Tsybikov (Federal Agency for Nationalities of Russia), Alexey Borodin (Regional Commonwealth of Communications), Elizaveta Belyakova (Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment), Evgeny Osadchuk (Skolkovo), Mikhail Skvirsky (Sberbank PJSC), Alexey Rogdev (Internet Technical Center), Andrey Kuzmichev (Runiti), Karen Kazaryan (ANO Digital Economy) and Nikita Lebedev (VK).
On the eve of the forum, a special course for young people is being held, in which young specialists will discuss the key topics of RIGF 2026 and form abstracts reflecting a youth perspective on the development of the Internet.
In addition, on April 6, as part of the educational day, Anton Gorelkin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Technology and Communications, will give an open lecture on the process of forming laws in the IT sector. On April 8, RIGF 2026 will also host the Virtuti Interneti Award ceremony ("For Services to the Internet") and the traditional lecture by the laureate. "The Russian Internet Governance Forum remains a key platform for an open dialogue on the development of the Internet and digital technologies. This year, special attention will be paid to how the active introduction of artificial intelligence is changing the Internet environment: from technology and economics to management and the daily lives of users. At the forum, we will discuss how these processes have already affected the Runet and what changes await the digital ecosystem in the coming years," said the director of the RU/ Domain Coordination Center.Russian Federation Andrey Vorobyov.
RIGF 2026 will be held in a hybrid format: offline and online. Participation is free, registration is already open.
