Modis clothing chain has filed for bankruptcy in a Moscow court
The Clothing 3000 company, representing the Modis brand of budget clothing, has applied to the Moscow Arbitration Court to declare itself bankrupt. This was confirmed on March 17 by the data from the court file.
According to Kommersant, the crisis in the company worsened after the death of its founder Igor Sosin. Over the past two years, the network has shrunk and the number of operating outlets has decreased by at least three times.
The retailer's critical financial condition became known at the end of 2025, when the company's management first announced plans to begin bankruptcy proceedings. In February 2026, Clothing 3000 officially confirmed its insolvency.

According to the case file, Dmitry Zimin, an individual entrepreneur, acquired the rights of claim to the Fashion Continent from Finservice Bank. The retailer owed this bank two loan agreements in 2023 and 2024. It is specified that 52 stores operated under the Incity and Deseo brands in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod and other Russian cities.
