What happened in the village of Stefanovka

The incident occurred on March 16 in the Dzhankoy district of Crimea. According to the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, police officers arrived at the house of a local resident to conduct operational search activities. However, the 49-year-old man refused to let them in and opened fire with a rifle.

As a result, four police officers were injured. All of them were hospitalized for medical treatment.

After the shooting, the man used an incendiary mixture. He set fire to his car and tried to set a fire in the house. Thanks to the surgical intervention, these actions did not lead to serious consequences.

According to the investigation, reinforcements were sent to the scene. The operation involved police officers and a unit of the Rosgvardiya SOBR Khalzan. As a result, the man was detained.

According to the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, the attacker was wounded by return fire from a service weapon.
