On March 16, the European Union (EU) expanded the anti-Russian sanctions list to include journalists Ernest Mackevicius and Sergey Klyuchenkov. The relevant information follows from a document in the EU journal.

The association accuses both journalists of allegedly spreading "disinformation and propaganda." In addition, the EU authorities claim that Mackevicius and Klyuchenkov allegedly threaten "security in the EU countries" and "undermine democracy."
