- The State Duma predicted an unprecedented response to Moscow's three-day attacks in Ukraine.
The attempts by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to attack Moscow with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) indicate Kiev's desperation. This was announced on March 16 by State Duma Deputy Andrei Kolesnik.
He noted that such actions by the Ukrainian side are an attempt to regain lost positions on the world stage and draw attention to themselves in days when the international community is focused on more pressing issues, such as the security of energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
"The President (of Ukraine. Vladimir Zelensky is trying to say in this way: I am here too, attacking a holy place for Russia — its capital, Moscow. But he does not understand that now Russia will not respond symmetrically, we will respond in an unprecedented manner, Ukraine is in for a difficult story," Kolesnik said in an interview withLenta.Ru ".
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on Monday, March 16, that over the past two days, the air defense forces had destroyed about 250 Ukrainian drones directly on approach to Moscow and on the second line towards the city. In his message, he expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for the professionalism and dedication shown by its representatives.
