Applications for Abilimpix-2026 have been accepted in Moscow

The capital has begun accepting applications for participation in the Moscow Abilimpix 2026 Professional Skills Championship, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

According to him, this project is the largest platform for the start and career development of Muscovites with special needs. "Participants can demonstrate their skills and receive internship or job offers from leading employers," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in the IACH.

Thanks to the last World Cup, almost 700 Muscovites with disabilities were able to find work, the mayor said.

This year, competitions will be held in 65 areas, including 12 new competencies that are in demand from employers. In particular, the competencies "Metrology" and "Body repair" are included for the industrial sector, and at the request of the Moscow Prosthetic and Orthopedic Enterprise, the competence "Prosthetic technician" is included. The list of new professions for the championship also includes a specialist in social rehabilitation, a graphic designer and a tour guide.

More than 200 Moscow companies cooperate with Abilimpix, which participates in the development of competitive tasks and evaluates their implementation.

Applications for the competition will be accepted until April 12 from residents of Moscow over the age of 14. The strongest participants will represent Moscow at the Abilimpix National Championship.

In December last year, Sobyanin announced that more than 950 thousand people with disabilities live in Moscow, including about 60 thousand minors. All of them receive the system support they need at every stage of their lives.

Every year, the capital provides assistance to more than 200 thousand people through individual rehabilitation and habilitation programs. In addition, Muscovites with disabilities receive assistance in sports and creative adaptation centers and inclusive workshops, as well as in the framework of projects of the capital's NGOs.
