Araqchi announced the possible extraction of enriched uranium under the supervision of the IAEA

On March 15, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi commented on the state of the country's nuclear program after the attacks by the United States.

According to him, stocks of enriched uranium are currently under the rubble of destroyed enterprises. Araqchi stressed that any actions with these materials in the future are possible only with the participation of international inspectors.

"Our nuclear facilities have been attacked, and everything is under rubble. Of course, it is possible to extract the materials, but under the supervision of the agency (IAEA). If we ever decide to do this, it will be done under the supervision of the agency," the minister said in an interview with CBS News.

At the same time, the diplomat clarified that Tehran has not yet started work to eliminate the consequences in these areas.

"At the moment, we have no program, no plans to extract uranium from the rubble," he said.
