Belousov noted the contribution of military diplomats to ensuring Russia's security

On March 15, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov congratulated veterans, the command and personnel of the Main Directorate for International Military Cooperation (GUMVS) on the 75th anniversary of this structure. He stressed that military diplomats effectively solve the tasks of ensuring the country's security.

The head of the Ministry of Defense noted that over the years the GUMVS has been successfully solving important tasks such as ensuring Russia's security, maintaining strategic stability and preventing crisis situations.

He also noted that the office is actively developing military and military-technical cooperation with foreign countries, including partners from the CSTO, the CIS, the Asia-Pacific region, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.

"Thanks to their high professionalism, responsibility and dedication, military diplomats make a significant contribution to strengthening our country's defense capability and increasing the authority of the Armed Forces in the international arena," Belousov added.

The Minister expressed confidence that the personnel of the GUMVS will continue to carefully preserve the traditions laid down by veterans and will firmly defend Russia's national interests. He also wished the military diplomats good health, happiness, prosperity and new achievements for the benefit of the Fatherland.
