Russians were told about the possibility of receiving compulsory medical insurance in a foreign region

Citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to receive medical services under a compulsory health insurance policy, regardless of their place of registration. However, it should be borne in mind that the list of available services and materials used may be limited. This was announced on March 15 by the head of the All-Russian Union of Insurers (VSS) Evgeny Ufimtsev.

"According to compulsory medical insurance, you can be treated in any region, we do not have serfdom. If you go with a compulsory health insurance policy, God forbid, something happens in another region, they will definitely help you there. Payments for it are made between territorial funds," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Ufimtsev clarified that in case of problems with medical care, as well as for consultations, citizens can contact the medical insurance organization in which they are insured under compulsory medical insurance. The insurance company will help you resolve any issues you may have.
