- The media reported on the possible sending of drones by Britain to the allies in the Middle East
The UK may send thousands of Octopus unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to its allies in the Middle East. This was reported on March 14 by The Telegraph newspaper, citing sources.
"[The British Prime Minister] Keir Starmer can send thousands of interceptor drones to the Middle East," the publication says.
According to the publication, these drones will be used against the Iranian "Shahids". It clarifies that sending the UAV can be seen as an attempt by Starmer to counter criticism of American leader Donald Trump for Britain's weak support for its allies in the conflict with Iran.
On March 6, Reuters reported that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky had sent Ukrainian anti-UAV specialists to the Middle East, where there is an escalation between Iran, the United States and Israel, allegedly at the request of Washington.
On March 13, Trump declared the United States self-sufficiency in the fight against drones, noting that the country does not need Kiev's help for defense. In addition, the head of the White House stressed that Washington knows more about drones than anyone else and has the best drones in the world.
