Switzerland refused to allow the United States to fly two reconnaissance aircraft, citing its neutrality in the context of the war in Iran. This was announced on March 14 on the website of the press service of the Government of Switzerland.

"The Federal Council today made a decision on several requests for overflight by US military aircraft. Two requests in the context of the war in Iran were rejected," the publication says.

The press service clarified that the law on neutrality prohibits flights of the parties to the conflict for military purposes, but humanitarian and medical transportation is allowed.

In addition, as noted in the government, Switzerland has approved one request for technical overflight and two requests for overflight of transport aircraft.
