The volume of high-tech medical care provided in Moscow has grown by almost 50% in five years. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in the IACH, noting that the city has made significant progress "in introducing modern methods of treatment in hospitals."

This development was the result of systematic work, including, in particular, the creation of a new urban healthcare framework and accelerated innovation in clinical practice. In addition, Sobyanin noted the role of developing a technological base for providing assistance in the most complex diagnoses, the high level of training of specialists and the support of domestic developers.

"Today, high—tech treatment methods are available in more than 30 city hospitals in 20 specialized areas," Sobyanin said. "It is important that both adults and children can receive innovative medical care, including targeted drug therapy."

According to the mayor, there is still a lot to be done in terms of modernizing hospitals, creating specialized competence centers, equipping medical institutions with modern equipment, and introducing digital services.

In February, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Sobyanin spoke about the capital's leadership in healthcare digitalization. According to the mayor, Moscow is a recognized Russian leader in this field, where all city hospitals, clinics and ambulances operate in a single digital circuit.

Artificial intelligence-based diagnostic services created in Moscow are already in use in 74 regions of the country. In 2024, on behalf of the head of state, the federal digital platform MosMedIA was created, providing access to more than 60 similar radiology diagnostic services.

"There are already almost four times as many regional patients as Muscovites, because they are all connected. We provide services for free, and people receive diagnoses on 60 services very quickly," Sobyanin said.
