Blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lercek) was hospitalized in an oncological center with stage four stomach cancer for chemotherapy. All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The blogger's health status

A critical deterioration in Chekalina's health occurred after the birth of her fourth child on February 26. After giving birth, the blogger was admitted to the intensive care unit, where during the examination, doctors revealed a malignant neoplasm and metastases.

The disease has spread to vital body systems. In addition to the stomach, the lesion affected the spine, which required urgent surgical intervention. Chekalina is currently experiencing severe pain, which doctors use powerful painkillers to relieve.

Treatment at the cancer center

On the evening of March 12, the blogger was transferred to a state clinic for an intensive course of chemotherapy. She is accompanied by the father of her fourth child, Argentine dancer Luis Squicciarini, who confirmed Lercek's willingness to receive treatment and her determination to fight the disease.

"My strongest, most radiant and beloved girl has stage four stomach cancer with metastases in her spine, legs and possibly lungs. The diagnosis has already been confirmed," Luis Squicciarini said on his social media.

Environment Comments

The blogger's friends and colleagues express their support on social media. Friend Alina Akilova was one of the first to confirm the presence of metastases. In turn, TV presenter Victoria Bonya suggested that the severity of the condition may be due to the fact that it was not possible to undergo timely medical control last year.

"Lerchek has metastases in her lungs. At the same time, the court denied her the opportunity to go for an examination a year ago, although her health required constant monitoring," Bonya said.

Despite the severity of the diagnosis, the blogger's family intends to continue treatment. Doctors of the State Cancer Center are currently engaged in selecting the optimal strategy for further therapy.
