FAS excluded 102.6 billion rubles of economically unjustified funds from tariffs
The amount of economically unjustified funds excluded from tariffs by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) in 2023-2025 amounted to 102.6 billion rubles. This was announced on March 11 on the agency's website.
"The FAS of Russia has significantly increased the volume and effectiveness of state control in the field of tariff formation, the total amount of economically unjustified funds allocated for exclusion from tariffs only from 2023 to 2025 amounted to 102.62 billion rubles," the publication says.
On March 11, the website of the lower house reported that the State Duma (State Duma) adopted laws in the second and third readings that would give the FAS expanded powers to control tariff formation in the housing and communal services sector. In addition, changes were made to the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation (Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation): increased responsibility for officials, up to and including removal from office.
